Therapist

As a graduate of John Jay College of Criminal Justice I obtained my Masters in Forensic Mental Health Counseling with a focus on Victimology Studies; with the sole intention of helping every individual I counsel see their inner selves and understand how their life has developed thus far and identify what strengths we need to build on.

I work with people struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma after unexpected life events. My therapeutic style is a blend of Cognitive Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Strengths Perspective. Through my eclectic approach, clients gain a new perspective and free themselves from self-defeating thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Reframing is powerful. It empowers clients to choose a different way to look at their situation so they can find self-compassion, acceptance, and peace. I do not focus exclusively on diagnosis. Rather, I want to help you understand yourself from a holistic point of view. In therapy, we will work together to protect your joy, strengthen your voice and gain empowerment over painful or traumatic experiences.

I specialize in working with people as they navigate unexpected events so they can free themselves from self-defeating thoughts and gain a new perspective. I provide a space where healing can begin. Consider this my invitation to be the truest version of yourself. You’re the author of your life with the power to write your own story. Let's start writing a new chapter.
